EE Summit 2020

Education Elements Summit
Sparking Innovation in Leadership
& Learning

EVENT CANCELLED

May 13-15, 2020 | Hilton Austin, TX

Like everyone else, we have been following the evolving developments and impact from the coronavirus that are occurring across the country. Given the public health impact and in accordance with the guidance from the CDC and others, it is no longer feasible for us to hold the 2020 Summit.

We are disappointed to have to share this news for many reasons. The event is one of inspiration and learning and partnership -- and we always look forward to this time to be together. That said, we are all focused on the health and safety of our families and communities and we know that given the changes in teaching, learning and collaborating, that we all need to be responsive.

We are looking at possible dates for our 2021 Summit next spring, and as we gather more details, we will be sure to share them.

If you have registered for the summit, we are providing multiple options, including but not limited to: additional service offerings, professional development, and refunds. Expect an email from us in the upcoming week (April 6-10).

Thank you for your trust and understanding,

Personalized Learning:

Education Elements has worked with hundreds of schools to ensure classroom instruction meets the needs of every student. Personalized learning improves student engagement and achievement, develops students to be lifelong learners, and better prepares them for college and careers.

  • PL and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Education Elements shares their newest white paper outlining the aligning between PL and DEI.

Strategic Planning:

The strategic planning process is as critical as the actual plan. The strategic planning process needs to be dynamic, responsive and focused on changes that are successful, sustainable and scalable.  These sessions will give you insight into how to run a powerful strategic planning process.

  • Strategic Planning Seminar: Dive deeper into our responsive strategic planning process with an interactive, three-hour crash course on strategic planning.
  • Panel Discussion: Hear from three districts across the country about their strategic planning processes, the benefits to their district, and how their teams have continued to use the processes from strategic planning in other elements of their work.

Improving teams:

Based on the newly released book the NEW Team Habits, sessions will help you begin making changes to how you learn, how you conduct meetings, and how you run projects right away.

The NEW TEAM HABITS BOOTCAMP

On a responsive team, learning is the engine that drives progress, meetings are seen as efficient and time well spent, and projects have fluid roles, accountabilities, and make use of team members' fullest potential. This New Team Habits bootcamp will dive into these three topics - team learning, meetings, and projects - as well as share our research around teams and the impact of team habits on helping you achieve your goals. We'll share habits for effective and ineffective teams and help you to diagnose your current teams strengths and needs, including your goals, what's preventing you from achieving these goals, and habits that can help you make progress. This bootcamp will utilize a new framework to think about building habits that change the way your teams engage and work with each other, and more specifically help you shift the way you share learnings, begin meetings, and kickoff projects to increase the engagement of your team and ultimately the broader team culture.

DESIGN CHALLENGES

The Education Elements Summit Design Challenge is an immersive, collaborative, three-day experience that will take you through each stage of the design thinking cycle while equipping you with the skills, resources, and know-how to take back to your district — as well as a workable prototype that you can implement right away. This year, we’ll be centering our design challenge around three big “what-ifs” that will challenge you to re-think the way schools work, look, and feel. If you think you know what a design challenge is, think again! We’ll be incorporating surprises, twists, and turns along the way to keep you on your toes and leave every day wanting to come back for more. You won’t want to miss this!
