Camp season is upon us. Although many parents look forward to sending their kids off to their favorite camps and enjoying some R&R or adventure of their own, we know how much they miss their campers. Enter one of our favorite modules: a photo and video blog dedicated to sharing camper experiences with family and friends. 

Camp Today is an interactive blog that allows camp staff to easily upload, identify, tag, and share pictures and videos of campers. The Camp Today module is available as an add-on feature to your core CampSite product. An intuitive experience all its own, it sits inside the Parent Dashboard and is accessible to authorized parents or guardians with the ability to extend viewer invitations to additional family members or friends. Here, parents and approved viewers can browse photo libraries, select and download pictures, watch videos, and even purchase prints. They’ll get a front-row seat to some of their campers’ best memories.

As an accompaniment to Camp Today, CampSite offers an optional upgrade to include Facial Recognition technology. This advanced feature is powered by Amazon Rekognition, and automates the process of identifying and tagging campers in photos and videos. Camps can save a tremendous amount of time using Facial Recognition instead of manually poring through thousands of images. Parents will enjoy more frequent and accurate camper updates as a result. Plus, they can request to be notified via email when their camper is tagged in new photos or videos. As always, CampSite encrypts and protects your data at every turn.
