For the past year, the Center for the Study of Education Policy has been working with the Tennessee Department of Education to turn the Tennessee Leadership for Equity Playbook into a cluster of four micro-credentials (MCs). Next Thursday, we are hosting a webinar regarding the work that has been done to date.

In addition to the informational webinar, we are also looking to recruit a total of 240 principals and assistant principals nationally who would be willing to complete one of the four Leadership for Equity (LFE) Micro-Credentials between February 1 and June 30, 2019, (60 principals/assistant principals for each of the four MCs). We need this number of principals and assistant principals in order to have a strong enough sample to validate the assessments and to provide feedback to us (through a survey at the end) on their experience with the MC. PLEASE NOTE: PRINCIPALS THAT ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE TEAM LEAD OR PARTNERS TO LEAD FEDERAL GRANTS CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PILOT AS THEIR PARTICIPATION WOULD SKEW THE EVALUATION. However, please share this with other principals and assistant principals that you think might be interested.

The LFE MCs are aligned with the PSEL standards and the equity standards in Illinois’ Quality Standards Framework and will be housed on BloomBoard’s on-line platform. Our goal is to have the  four LFE MCs piloted and refined by Fall 2019, in which they will be accessible to any principal or assistant principal throughout the country to access. With that goal in mind, it is important that we cast a wide net for recruiting principals and assistant principals located in different parts of the Illinois and the country to participate in the pilot.
