Allison gave the opening remarks at our fifth annual Personalized Learning Summit, where she welcomed our audience from across the country and the world to the city of Atlanta and shared her outstanding experiences that led her to become the 2019 Teacher of the Year in GA.

The "Groove House" Drumline

  • Creekside High School drumline, part of the “Sounds of the Seminoles” band program.

The drumline is nicknamed the “Groove House” for their intricate musical patterns and contemporary playing style. They consist of 25 students and are led by the percussion directors Curtis McCullough and Aaron Fields and under the direction of  Dexter L. Bailey Jr., Director of Bands at Creekside High School

The “Groove House” has performed for various occasions, such as the Fulton County Schools’ Teacher of the Year Banquet at the Georgia World Congress Center, City of Fairburn Parade, and various percussion invitational competitions in the Metro-Atlanta area. The "Groove House" surprised attendees at our first general session at the Summit, and brought us all good vibes and happiness before sending us off to our breakout sessions.
