🌍 This Earth Day, we celebrate a victory for our planet! 🎉 MM&H's dedicated team led by Josh Migdal and Jordan Nadel, supported by Michelle Pelaez and Viviana Vazquez , triumphed in FOLKs vs. City of Marathon, ensuring deeper wells for waste management and protecting our oceans and marine life. To relieve some stress during "Stress Awareness Month" we invite you to help a colleague / adversary (depending where you sit) with a project aimed to shed some light on a major cause of mental health issues in the legal profession... ETAN MARK: "It's no secret that attorneys are generally unhappy. As someone with over 20 years in the trenches, I've pondered the reasons behind this. It could be due to challenging clients, the intellectual demands, the gap between the ideal of lawyering and the daily grind, or the Sisyphean pursuit of justice. But I think a disproportionate cause of stress is… each other. Namely, opposing counsel. There is a moment in your career where you learn that the Rules of Professional Conduct are mostly ignored. And when you, as an attorney, try to enforce those rules, you find it is almost impossible. That is a tough day for many of us. In the coming months, I'll be speaking about mental health in the legal profession. To prepare, I'm gathering examples of "Lawyers being A******s" from our attorney network. It could be an email or a text from opposing counsel. (I know they're usually too clever to leave a paper trail of their antics, but not always.) Please send your examples to me.
